Inside Roulette Bets
Whenever I play Roulette online I always try to use a bet that I often forget about. This tactic got me thinking about all of the roulette players out there who don’t stretch their roulette muscles. So I took it upon myself to educate the masses about roulette bets. First we have some inside bets:
The straight up bet is made on a single number. Although it carries the best payout (35:1) it also has the worst odds.
The split bet is made on two numbers and has a payout of 17:1, and is the second riskiest in the game.
Street bets are made by placing your bet on the line separating the inside and outside betting areas, and the payout is 11:1.
A corner bet (my personal favorite) is made by placing your chip on the corner of four numbers. The payout is 8:1.
The basket bet involves five numbers, including the zero and pays 6:1. This bet is the worst bet to make in a game of roulette.
And finally the double street bet is made with 6 numbers and does not include the zero. It pays 5:1.
Anything that is as fun as gambling is obviously going to have certain consequences, if you let it get that far. When I feel myself starting to slip into the slippery slope of having a little too much “fun” I like to visit gamcare.org.uk. It sounds serious, but it is actually just a nice little refresher course for anyone who is an avid gambler. They have necessary tools to help you with the responsibility that comes along with gambling.
