Nevada to Permit Online Poker

It seems like Nevada is always the leader in many liberal movements, and they aren’t stopping anytime soon.

Nevada isn’t waiting for the rest of the states; they are taking it upon themselves to start gambling on the internet in their state. This license will only be specifically for online poker though.

Nevada’s state Gaming Control Board, something every state should have, will begin issuing Internet Poker licenses starting in February. The operator who already possesses a gaming license will be the first to be issued these new licenses.

The only catch is it can only be done within the state. No bets will be taken from outside states, or shall I say should. There has always been concern about interstate gambling, and it will continue to be a concern until there is a federal regulation from the US government for Online Casinos for USA players.

These licenses will permit the operator to conduct online poker in such settings as casinos and racetracks. Nevada is of course banking on other states to also enjoy this license to take advantage of more states getting involved in interstate online wagering, but first legislation has to pass through the House for such bills. There have been plenty of hearings lately for the House subcommittee, and they will continue throughout the rest of November.

So for now we can just hope for the best, along with many other influential figures, including Donald Trump and other Casino owners who once opposed online gambling but now are actively fighting for the moderation of online casino gambling.
